President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov held a meeting to discuss building BelAZ assembly plants in Uzbekistan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs reported on his official Telegram channel.
Lukashenko expressed gratitude to Bakhtier Saidov for extending the warm welcome to the Belarusian delegation during his recent visit to Tashkent. The President of Belarus noted the contribution of the Uzbek authorities to the integration of his country into the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
President Lukashenko noted that Belarus has concluded an agreement with Tajikistan on the creation of joint ventures that will manufacture BelAZ heavy trucks and called on the Uzbek side to take an active part in this process.
The President of Belarus said Minsk has a lot to offer Uzbekistan. He invited Saidov to visit the Belarusian enterprises that might interest him. In his opinion, this would help convince Saidov that Belarusian goods can be successfully consumed in Uzbekistan.
