President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the US delegation led by Senator Stephen Daines and Chairman of the House Committee, Congressman Mike Rogers. The official talks were held on March 27. The parties emphasised that trade turnover between Uzbekistan and the United States grew by 30 percent in 2023, the press office of the President of Uzbekistan reported.
The participants focused on current issues aspects and the prospects for promoting strategic partnerships between the two countries. They noted with satisfaction that the two countries have made significant progress in bilateral relations in recent years.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted the high level of inter-parliamentary interaction between Uzbekistan and the United States.
The participants emphasised that trade between the United States and Uzbekistan increased by 30% last year, noting that American companies operating in Uzbekistan are increasing in numbers. Air Products, which is implementing the investment projects worth over $10 billion in the Republic, is especially successful.
