Kyrgyz Post opens branch in China

It will help local manufacturers sell online in China.

Kyrgyzstan opened a postal branch in the bordering region of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, which will help local manufacturers sell their goods on the Internet in China, Mir 24 reports.

It gives goods labelled «Made in Kyrgyzstan» an opportunity to reach Chinese consumers through the «green» corridor. Kyrgyzstan has developed postal connections with many countries; postal exchanges with Russia, China and Portugal are most popular.

Director of the Centre for International Postal Exchange and Logistics Akzhol Sadyrov noted that the number of online orders has increased, resulting in a higher load on the sorting facility that processes up to 10 tons of parcels per day. A postal branch in Kashgar will equal the quantities of incoming and outgoing parcels, providing more convenient conditions for sending goods from Kyrgyzstan to China through a bonded zone with simplified border crossing procedures in both directions.
