On April 28, National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting in Ashgabat after the festive events at the International Ahalteke Equestrian Sport Complex had completed, Turkmenistan: Golden Age reports.
Expressing gratitude for the invitation to attend the large-scale festive events marking the National Turkmen Horse Day, Minnikhanov conveyed cordial greetings and congratulations from Russian leader Vladimir Putin to the Chairman of Halk Maslahaty. Rais said the two countries have traditionally friendly relations based on the historically established cultural and spiritual affinities of the two peoples, as well as the principles of mutually beneficial cooperation.
Hero-Arkadag noted the significance of the current visit, emphasising that it testifies to friendship between the peoples and shared spiritual values.
The parties confirmed the willingness to take further efforts to ramp up multifaceted cooperation.
