China to build modern logistics centre in Uzbekistan

The parties discussed the project in detail during a meeting in Tashkent.

It is planned to build a modern transport and logistics centre in Uzbekistan involving Chinese investors, the press office of Uztemiryulkonteyner JSC reported.

 The investors and the Uzbek company met in Tashkent. Chairman of the Board of Uztemiryulkonteyner JSC Akmal Kamalov and Commercial Director of Shenzhen Neptune Logistics Co. Ltd. Nancy Tang took part in the meeting.

 Nancy Tang confirmed that the company is going to invest about $10-15 million in the construction of the transport and logistics centre in Uzbekistan.

 The parties discussed the joint use of logistics centres, the creation of new centres and distribution services. They proposed building modern warehouses to promote distribution and cooperation on container transportation from the provinces of China through Uzbekistan to Turkey and Europe.
