On March 1-2, National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov paid a working visit to Turkey. The Chairman of Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan took part in the Third Antalya Diplomacy Forum, Turkmenistan: Golden Age reported.
Hero-Arkadag held talks with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during the visit. The interlocutors discussed the swap supply of Turkmen electricity and natural gas to Turkey, as well as the prospects of cooperation in the transport and communications sectors.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people held meetings with several Turkish businessmen to discuss key aspects of participation of companies from the friendly country in major infrastructure projects in Turkmenistan.
Addressing the Antalya Diplomacy Forum. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov urged to assist the United Nations in ensuring peace, obtain the legalization of the provisions of the resolutions on transport sustainability and interaction and advance in the practical implementation of the innovative ideas and areas of cooperation specified in the resolutions. Hero-Arkadag stated that transition economies should give impetus to a world order that is stable in many respects, but requires restructuring, and embed new principles and tasks in it.
Following the visit, Turkmenistan and Turkey signed a declaration of intent on hydrocarbon cooperation, a memorandum of cooperation in natural gas partnerships and a memorandum of mutual understanding on aviation.
