The Board of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, chaired by Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Zhaparov, took place in Bishkek. The participants discussed the work done by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2023, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reports.
In his report, Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeenbek Kulubayev noted that the Ministry fulfilled the President’s instructions concerning the foreign policy. He noted that the main achievements of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2023 include the promotion of political dialogue with other states and the intensification of economic diplomacy. Last year, Kyrgyz diplomats took active measures to protect the rights of Kyrgyz citizens in other countries.
Akylbek Zhaparov ordered efforts in promoting economic diplomacy be enhanced in 2024. He emphasised the importance of attracting investment and innovative technologies to implement strategic infrastructure projects. Priorities for promoting domestic exports, boosting tourism flows and developing external transport routes were identified.
