President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held talks with Hakan Fidan. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey met with his Tajik counterpart Sirojiddin Mukhriddin and Chairman of the lower house of Parliament Mahmadtoir Zokirzoda.
Key aspects of political, economic and humanitarian cooperation between Tajikistan and Turkey were discussed during the visit. The parties signed an inter-ministerial cooperation programme.
The schedule of upcoming top- and high-level contacts was discussed. It was reported that Hakan Fidan’s statement about the potential signing of a border agreement between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan was not an issue for discussion with either the President of Tajikistan or the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan.
