On January 10, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Hakan Fidan in Dushanbe. The meeting focused on key aspects of cooperation between the two countries, the press office of the President of the Republic reported.
Rahmon expressed satisfaction with the way relations with Turkey are developing now. He also emphasised the need to further expand bilateral cooperation that meets the interests of the two countries. The interlocutors agreed to strengthen cooperation in the social, economic, investment and education sectors.
Cultural cooperation was also discussed. The interlocutors agreed to host the Days of Culture in the two countries, which helps strengthen cultural and humanitarian ties between the nations.
Current regional and global issues, including the situation in Afghanistan and Palestine, were discussed during the meeting.
