The heads of the communications departments and the representatives of the mobile operators participated in a meeting at the Government of Tajikistan, the press office of the Government of Tajikistan reported.
The participants reported on the work done to implement the instructions of President of the Republic Emomali Rahmon to improve the quality of services and reduce mobile communication and Internet costs, as well as provide access to high-speed Internet in all the regions of the country. They discussed the 2024 work plans of the mobile companies and the use of GSM/UMTS/LTE/5G base stations made in the People’s Republic of China.
Head of the Communications Service Beg Sabur stressed that priority must be given to improving the mobile network coverage in the country and the quality of mobile services to make sure all citizens of the country have access to services. He noted that the mobile operators in the Republic must update base stations.
