President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon expressed his concern about several problems in his annual message to Parliament. Sputnik reports that Rahmon expressed concern about Tajik migrants. He noted that workers have go abroad to earn living for their children because the leaders of the country think only about themselves.
The President of the Republic criticized tree planting in Tajikistan for show and ordered an urban tree planting programme until 2040 be developed.
Rahmon also promised to turn Tajikistan into a «green country» by 2037, noting that the country now ranks sixth in the world for the use of renewable energy.
The President proposed establishing an Agency for the Protection of Cultural and Historical Heritage under the Government of Tajikistan. Rahmon said 2023 is a successful year for Tajikistan, noting that several cultural sites in the country were included in the UNESCO List.
