A New Year’s performance was arranged in the large hall of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan as part of the International Youth Science and Practical Conference, which was held in Ashgabat on December 27, the IIC reports.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov visited the international exhibition, which showcased the achievements in various spheres of economic and social life of the country.
The President visited the large hall of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where a festive performance featuring Ayaz-baba (Father Frost), Garpamyk (Snow Maiden), Fish — the symbol of the coming year according to the Turkmen calendar and fairy-tale characters was presented to the youngest citizens and guests of the capital city. The young participants of the performance were dressed in carnival costumes.
As was reported, on December 28, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov visited the Main New Year Tree on the square in front of the Alem Cultural and Entertainment Centre. The President congratulated the children, who were taking part in the festive event, and had a photo taken with them at the Central Asia’s tallest (44 metres) New Year Tree.
