Permanent Representative of Kyrgyzstan to the European Union Aidit Erkin held a briefing at the European Parliament. The participants discussed aspects of bilateral cooperation and the outcomes of the official visit of the President of the European Council to Kyrgyzstan and heard a report from a representative of the Republic, the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reports.
Ambassador Aidit Erkin informed about the main objectives of the National Development Programme, the fight against corruption and the shadow economy, the progress towards reducing unemployment and the construction of social facilities.
He emphasised the importance of strengthening bilateral and multilateral cooperation on climate change and hydropower.
Chair of the Delegation to the EU-Kyrgyzstan Tomáš Zdechovský informed about the intention to continue efforts to build up and expand cooperation. The parties emphasised that they are ready to strengthen interactions in various areas of mutual interest.
