First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy Alexander Varfolomeev and Deputy Chairman of the Jogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyzstan Nurlanbek Azygaliev held a meeting in Moscow. Azygaliev headed a parliamentary delegation to Russia, the Telegram channel of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy reports.
The meeting focused on the implementation of the decisions taken following the working visit of Chairperson of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko to participate in the meeting of the IPA CIS Council in Bishkek in November this year and the agreements reached between the leaders of the two countries.
In particular, the parties discussed the supply of textbooks in the Russian language to Kyrgyzstan. They also discussed the inadmissibility of actions to rehabilitate Nazism.
Alexander Varfolomeev noted that parliamentarians of the two countries are taking an active part in implementing the decisions. This work is ongoing at the bilateral level and within the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly.
