On November 16, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated the participants of the Central Asia-China Youth Forum “New Epoch of the Great Silk Road”. The President expressed belief that the event will be of great importance in identifying ways to promote international cooperation in youth policy, Turkmenistan: Golden Age reported.
“The main goal of this forum is to strengthen cooperation among young people in such areas as climate change and environmental sustainability, education, science and innovation, culture and art. The forum will be an opportunity to discuss the rich experience of neutral Turkmenistan in strengthening peace and friendship, the role of youth in reviving the Great Silk Road,” the President said.
Berdimuhamedov noted that the forum is tasked to combine capabilities of the Central Asian states and China to address education, science, culture and youth policy issues. In his opinion, this will open up prospects for building qualitatively new relations based on mutually beneficial cooperation among states and nations towards achieving global peace.
“A festival of cultural workers and artists from the Central Asian states and China, which will be held under the aegis of the Forum, will further strengthen friendly and fraternal relations of our peoples,” Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasised.
