On October 19, National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov completed his working visit to Beijing, where he participated in the Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, the Turkmenistan Today National News Agency reports.
In his speech, the Chairman of Halk Maslahaty confirmed the active role of Turkmenistan in promoting international mutually beneficial cooperation.
He noted that modern realities have negatively affected global economic activity, disrupted connectivity and undermined the effectiveness of the implementation of sustainable development plans and programmes.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people said states and international institutions need to merge efforts in adopting a creative and constructive agenda to mitigate these negative impacts.
The Chairman of Halk Maslakhaty held fruitful talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping. They discussed the progress and intensification of bilateral relations for the benefit of the two states and nations.
