On October 17, National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in the official opening ceremony of the Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in Beijing, Turkmenistan: Golden Age reported.
Delegates to the large-scale event represent over 140 countries and 30 international organisations, including the leaders of states. The participants will consider boosting cooperation in such areas as investment, digital economy and trade. Presentations of investment projects and the signing of new agreements in various economic sectors will take place as part of the forum.
National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov will deliver a speech at the high-level conference on connectivity, which will be held at the National People’s Congress building as part of the Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation.
The Belt and Road Initiative is a concept proposed by Xi Jinping in 2013 to boost multilateral trade and investment projects involving interested countries and using Chinese and foreign capital. Over 150 states and more than 30 international organisations have joined it.
