On June 29, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon chaired a meeting in the building of the Government of the Republic to discuss the renovation of pumping stations, CentralAsia.news reports referring to the official website of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Director of the Agency for Melioration and Irrigation Zafarbek Davlatzoda reported on the Investment Programme for 2023-2027 aimed at providing pumping stations with modern energy efficient equipment.
Davlatzoda said the Programme is part of the development strategy of Tajikistan until 2030 and the action plan of water sector reform until 2025. It envisages reconstructing and renovating the existing irrigation infrastructure in the country and installing modern energy efficient equipment on pumping stations.
President Emomali Rahmon instructed to approve the Investment Programme and take the necessary measures to implement it, including through attracting investments.
