On June 16, Chairman of the Government of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov introduced new East Kazakhstan Region Akim Ermek Kosherbayev to the local officials during his visit to Ust-Kamenogorsk. The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of taking further measures to improve the welfare and quality of life of citizens, modernise infrastructure and develop the regional economy, the press office of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan reports.
For example, the new national projects envisage building 10 modern schools for 4,200 children and 36 primary health care institutions and modernising the district hospital.
The Prime Minister focused on the need to address heat supply interruptions.
«Last winter, 81 emergency shutdowns of boiler units at the Ridderskaya hydropower plant were registered. Residents of the city experienced heat supply interpretations during the cold months. These problems must be solved before the new heating season starts,» Smailov said.
In this regard, he instructed the East Kazakhstan Region Akimat to conduct overhaul operations on the Ridderskaya hydropower plant and ensure interrupted heat supply to the local people during the coming winter.
