The Uzbek specialists met with the delegation of Gas Green Asia LLC and Ecoeye Co Ltd. at the Central Office of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan. The parties discussed the implementation of projects aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions within the Paris Agreement, the press office of the Government of Uzbekistan reported to CentralAsia.news.
The key issues under discussion included the transition of projects to the mechanism established by Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. The representatives of the American companies shared their opinion and put forward the proposals on Uzbekistan’s environmental initiatives.
The meeting was of great importance for the implementation of the national green energy projects in Uzbekistan. The Paris Agreement, adopted in 2015, gives the Republic additional opportunities to attract funding for environmental and energy projects.
