Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ruslan Kazakbaev met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani during his working visit to Pakistan. Given the extensive experience of Bahrain, Kazakbaev proposed to intensify cooperation between the central banks of the two states in the application and use of the principles of Islamic finance to start an Islamic bank in Kyrgyzstan, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The interlocutors noted the importance of strengthening relations within the UN, the OIC, the SCO and other international organisations.
Kakazbaev had a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt Sameh Hassan Shoukry.
The Kyrgyz side submitted a package of draft documents that would expand the legal frameworks in the tourism, education, healthcare, agriculture, trade and investment sectors to the Bahraini and Egyptian sides for consideration.
The foreign ministers of Egypt and Bahrain confirmed their readiness to pay a visit to Kyrgyzstan at any convenient time.
