Bishkek, Nur-Sultan and Moscow to enhance customs cooperation

The participants of the trilateral meeting focused on achieving effective coordination of activities of the three states.

On February 15, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Arzybek Kozhoshev took part in a trilateral meeting of the customs and tax services of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Russia. Deputy Prime Minister Bakhyt Sultanov represented Kazakhstan, and Deputy Minister of Finance Alexei Sazanov represented Russia at the meeting, the press office of the Government of Kyrgyzstan reports.

The participants focused on achieving effective coordination of activities of tax and customs authorities of the three countries.

The issues related to information exchange among Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia were considered. The parties noted that well-coordinated interaction would enable the three countries to combat the shadow economy.

The agenda items under discussion included the accurate reporting of the cost for traded goods in consignment documentation.

The participants underscored the need to elaborate on this issue and define the categories of high-risk exporters and targeted actions.
