Kyrgyzstan ready to buy 12,000 tonnes of wheat from Kazakhstan

The President of Kyrgyzstan instructed the Government to provide citizens with 9 essential products.

On December 8, Chairman of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Japarov met with his Kazakh counterpart Askar Mamin during his working visit to Nur-Sultan. The parties discussed key aspects of cooperation in the trade, economic, investment, water, energy and transit and transport sectors, the press office of the Government of Kyrgyzstan reports.

Japarov said the Kyrgyz side was ready to buy 12,000 tonnes of winter wheat from Kazakhstan.

It was noted that the leader of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov had tasked the Cabinet of Ministers to provide the population of the Republic with 9 essential products, including wheat.

The Kazakh side expressed readiness to supply 1,000 tonnes of winter wheat.

Japarov also noted that 2,000 buses would be purchased for Bishkek in the near future, and the supplier of these vehicles was being identified.

In this regard, Mamin expressed readiness to implement this project, noting that electric buses made in Kazakhstan were cost-effective, safe and durable.
