The leader of Kazakhstan visited the Ahalteke Equestrian Sports Complex on the first day of his visit to Ashgabat.
On October 24, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev arrived to neighbouring Turkmenistan for a state visit. The meeting and talks with President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov continued with an exhibition of graceful Ahalteke horses on the arena of the equestrian cluster in the capital of Turkmenistan, the press office of Akorda reported.
A unique collection of Ahalteke horses that are trained at the modern horse breeding complex was demonstrated to Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev. The famous Galkynys group of Turkmen riders performed in a show during the “no-tie meeting’.
The Galkynys group has won many international equestrian competitions and festivals. The bright number on the programme was the performance of the horse Akhan. This horse is inscribed on the Guinness World Records for rearing 10 metres in over 4 seconds.
The programme of the visit of the leader of Kazakhstan includes the Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan summit. Relations between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan are developing within the historically established foundations of friendship and good neighbourliness. The summit is expected to identify the substantial guidelines for cooperation within bilateral interaction.
