Kazakhstan offers to supply QazVac vaccine to Afghanistan

Soon, the IRA will receive 20,000 tonnes of Kazakh flour purchased by the UN World Food Programme.

Special Representative of the President of Kazakhstan for the Republic of Afghanistan Talgat Kaliyev, who participated in the Moscow Format Consultations on Afghanistan, offered to supply the QazVac vaccine to the neighbouring country. Noting that a humanitarian aid including 5,000 tonnes of flour had been delivered on Tokayev’s instructions to Afghanistan recently, the Kazakh politician said 20,000 tonnes of high-quality flour purchased by the UN WFP would be delivered to Afghanistan soon, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported to CentralAsia.news.

The Kazakh official said the Republic of Kazakhstan actively contributed to the efforts of the international community to achieve stability in the neighbouring country. He highlighted the need to maintain trade and economic relations with Afghanistan and solve the humanitarian problems faced by the Afghan people. Kaliev reminded about the Kazakh leader’s proposal to create a humanitarian hub in Almaty to help the IRA.

The consultations, which brought together the high-ranking officials from different countries, focus on further joint steps to resolve the difficult situation in the country and promote its post-conflict reconstruction.
