Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Canada Baktybek Amanbaev met with the Director General of the Bureau of Circumpolar, European and Eurasian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Canada and the Director of the Bureau of Eastern European and Eurasian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Canada. The parties discussed the prospects for promoting bilateral cooperation, the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reports.
Amanbaev emphasised the existence of significant opportunities to improve political-diplomatic, socio-economic and cultural-humanitarian relations between the two countries and put forward specific proposals for joint efforts in these areas.
The Canadian government officials noted that their country is interested in establishing ties with the Central Asian countries. In particular, they are interested in establishing bilateral relations with Kyrgyzstan. In this regard, the parties considered arranging visits of high-level officials aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in the near future.
