Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan presents school education reform project in United States

A meeting with the representatives of the international organisations, including the WB and the IMF, took place in Washington.

Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov successfully completed his visit to the United States. The Kyrgyz delegation participated in the Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group in Washington during this visit. Zhaparov presented the Altyn Kazyk Programme, aimed at reforming the school education system in Kyrgyzstan, the press office of the Government of Kyrgyzstan reported.

The Kyrgyz delegation met with the top managers of the key global organisations, including the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the US-Kyrgyzstan Chamber of Commerce, the Asian Development Bank, the European Investment Bank and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.

The parties signed the agreements on the joint financing of the Kambar-Ata hydropower plant project, as well as on the attraction of investment in several projects in various areas.

The Kyrgyz delegation held meetings at the major US technology corporations. Among others, they visited the head office of Apple Inc in San Francisco, the headquarters of Nvidia Corporation and the office of Hewlett-Packard Company.
