The authorities of Tajikistan and Russia are considering building technology parks and selecting the location, Sputnik reports.
Head of the department of international relations of the Ministry of Industry of Tajikistan Timur Yoribek said a pilot Russia-Tajikistan technology park can be built on the territory of the Korgokhi Moshinsozi enterprise (former Tajiktextilemash) in Dushanbe. Two more options are being considered: the Sughd free economic zone in Sughd Region and the facilities of the Transformator JSC transformer plant in Khatlon Region.
However, the Russian side has not taken the final decision on the location of the technology park. Tajikistan has offered 9 location options to the Russian partners.
The RF Ministry of Industry and Trade reported that the most convenient location to build a technology park has been determined, and it is set to begin work to launch the first department this year. However, the Ministry has not announced the exact location of the park yet.
