Kyrgyzstan to meet 100% of domestic demand for poultry meat in 3-5 years

Two enterprises will be built in Issyk-Kul Region.

The Russia-Kyrgyzstan Development Fund (RKDF) is ready to finance two projects that will enable the Republic to meet 80% of the domestic demand for poultry meat, Sputnik reports.

One of the projects envisages building a poultry farm in Issyk-Kul Region by the Eurasian Poultry Farm company. The poultry farm will have a production capacity of 6,000 tonnes per year at the first stage. It is planned to increase it to 20,000 tonnes.

Another poultry farm will be built in Issyk-Kul with the support of the Russia-Kyrgyzstan Development Fund and the Agro Kush company. The two projects will allow meeting 80% of the domestic demand for poultry meat. Chairman of the Russia-Kyrgyzstan Development Fund Artem Novikov said qualified personnel and modern technologies would enable the Republic to increase this figure to 100% in 3-5 years and export poultry products.
