On May 9, a three-hour concert «Otanga kyzmet — uly kurmet» marking the 78th anniversary of Victory Day took place on the banks of the Yesil in Astana, the press office of the City Administration reported to CentralAsia.news.
The artistic groups from Astana, including the Saryarka folk ensemble, the NAZ State Dance Theatre, A. E. Rakhmadiev State Academic Philharmonic, the Terra dance theatre and other winners of republican and international music contests congratulated citizens on the Victory Day.
Deputy Head of the Astana Department of Culture Nuran Kamzin noted that the concert was dedicated, first of all, to veterans and those who worked on the home front during the war years. Jointly with the Department of Culture, the team representing the municipal subordinate enterprises staged the concert.
As was reported, hundreds of citizens of Astana came to the concert. Many of them came with their children.
