Currently, the company has the representative offices only in Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.

The Board of Directors of Gazprom PJSC is going to discuss opening a new representative office of the company in Uzbekistan. This issue will be decided by absentee voting, which will take place on May 6, Interfax reports.

Currently, the company has the representative offices in several Central Asian states, in particular Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan. As of 2021, two subsidiaries of the Gazprom Group — Operating Company Zarubezhneftegaz — Central Asia LLC and Operating Company Zarubezhneftegaz — GPD Central Asia LLC are operating in Uzbekistan.

Russia started gas supplies to the Republic in October 2023. The two-year contract between Gazprom Export LLC and UzGaztrade JSC provides for the supply of 9 million cubic metres daily, or about 2.8 billion cubic metres annually.

Gazprom’s short-term plans include the signing of a series of 15-year contracts with Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. These contracts provide for additional gas supplies. The company intends to start executing the contract in the autumn of 2025.
