9 Russian-language schools to be built in Kyrgyzstan

The Russian Federation and the Kyrgyz Republic develop new joint projects.

On May 9, RF Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin met with President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov in Moscow, the press office of the Government reported to CentralAsia.news.

Mikhail Mishustin announced the launch of a new project which envisages building 9 comprehensive schools in Kyrgyzstan that provide training in the Russian language and meet the standards of the Russian Federation. The project will be implemented within long-term Russia-Kyrgyzstan cooperation and be another symbol of friendship between the peoples of the two countries.

Noting that this is a historic agreement, the President of Kyrgyzstan thanked the Russian side for its assistance in developing the school meals project in Kyrgyzstan. The Russian side allocated $20 million in 2013-2022 to support this area, which allowed providing over 640 schools with hot meals and opening the Republican Competence Centre for School Nutrition.
