Korea ready to train Kyrgyzstan to produce robots and machine tools

The ex-ambassador of Korea to Kyrgyzstan expressed belief that bilateral cooperation would continue to develop dynamically.

On March 30, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Edil Baisalov met with former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Kyrgyzstan Kim Chang-gyu, who is currently Mayor of Jecheon, the press office of the Government of Kyrgyzstan reports.

Kim Chang-gyu expressed belief that Kyrgyzstan-Korea cooperation would continue to develop dynamically in various fields. He noted that Korea has accumulated a large and unique expertise in such fields as the automotive industry, the manufacture of robots, machine tools, state-of-the-art industrial equipment and IT solutions and created an enabling environment for small and medium-sized businesses.

In this regard, he emphasised that the Korean side is ready to share its expertise and take the necessary measures to build up trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties between the two countries.

Baisalov welcomed the signing of a cooperation agreement between Jecheon and Talas, expressing the hope that this step would play an important role in strengthening bilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Korea.
