A meeting chaired by Secretary General of the Council of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly Dmitry Kobitsky on the preparations for the autumn session was held at the IPA CIS headquarters. The Deputy Secretaries General, the plenipotentiary representatives of the Parliaments of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan and other high-ranking officials attended the meeting, the Telegram channel of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly reports.
This autumn, Bishkek is hosting a meeting of the heads of parliaments of the CIS Member States. The city was proposed by Speaker of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan Nurlanbek Shakiev.
The parliamentarians discussed the agenda and organisational issues of the autumn session. Jointly with the Jogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyzstan, preparatory work is underway.
The IPA CIS Council will hold a meeting on the first day of the autumn session, November 16, On November 17, the parliamentary delegations from the CIS Member States will take part in the 56th plenary meeting of the Interparliamentary Assembly.
