President orders youth be made aware of significance of cultural heritage

The President noted the need to stage theatrical performances that will elucidate the domestic and foreign policies of the country.

On May 3, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov led a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, at which he emphasised the need to conduct regular events about the significance of the centuries-old cultural heritage, singing art and music, traditions and customs among the younger generation, Turkmenistan: Golden Age reports.

The President said theatrical performances that will elucidate the domestic and foreign policies of the country and the development of national culture and arts should be staged.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the cultural actions marking the 300th birth anniversary of the great thinker and poet Magtymguly Fraghi be organised in a proper manner in the country and abroad.

Deputy Prime Minister Myahrijemal Mammedova reported on the work done by the institutions under her supervision in January-April this year. The festive events marking the national holidays and the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fraghi were held. She reported on the work done by the theatres, circuses, cinemas, film and concert centres, libraries and museums in the reporting period.
