On May 16-17, Dushanbe hosted the Days of Tatar Culture. The events took place at the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in Tajikistan, the press office of the Russian House in the Republic reported to CentralAsia.news.
The Days of Tatar Culture were organised for the Tatar-Bashkir diasporas and all those interested in the multinational culture of Russia. Experts from the World Congress of Tatars from Kazan conducted master classes in traditional vocals, dances, national arts and crafts during two days. The Mosaic of the Tatar People photo exposition was arranged.
Minister Counsellor of the RF Embassy in Tajikistan Shamil Shamsutdinov noted the important role of public diplomacy and the contribution of artists, scientists and educational professionals to promoting Russia-Tajikistan strategic partnerships. Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office Ivan Ivanov said the cultural mission from Kazan is intended not only to demonstrate rich traditions, but also to pass on knowledge to the younger generation.
