On January 21, the employees of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan (CCIT) held online talks with their Qatari counterparts. The parties paid special attention to the organisational issues of the first Central Asia dried fruits and grains exhibition, which will be held in Doha on March 1-10, the press office of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan reported.
The parties noted that the exhibition will arouse interest among major wholesale buyers and distributors from Qatar and the Middle Eastern countries and open up new prospects for Central Asia’s agricultural exports. The participants expressed belief that the event will expand economic cooperation between Turkmenistan and Qatar.
Turkmenistan and Qatar established diplomatic relations on November 22, 1996. The countries boost economic cooperate and host regular meetings of the Turkmenistan-Qatar Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.
