On January 22, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev received newly appointed PRC Ambassador to Kazakhstan Han Chunlin at the Akorda Residence, the press office of the President of Kazakhstan reported.
The President noted the priority importance of deepening strategic partnerships with China and confirmed that Kazakhstan is ready to strengthen cooperation in key areas.
«Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev noted that Ambassador Han Chunlin is performing his diplomatic mission in the period of very actively developing bilateral relations,» the press office reported.
Ambassador Han Chunlin conveyed the best wishes from PRC Chairman Xi Jinping and assured of his intention to maintain the high dynamics of cooperation. He noted that relations have reached an unprecedented scale thanks to the top-level dialogue.
The interlocutors discussed the prospects for strengthening trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian ties. Also, Tokayev accepted the letters of credence from the ambassadors of 9 countries, emphasising Kazakhstan’s commitment to the peaceful external policy.
