In 2024, Kazakhstan built over 1,700 km of gas networks that deliver gas to 300,000 people. According to the press office of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic, this work is underway in line with the instructions of President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev.
Gasification contributed to reducing environmental pollution, improving the quality of life and boosting the economy of the regions. In 2025, 65.9 billion tenge were allocated for gasification of 7 settlements, which will increase the gasification rate to 62% and cover 12.4 million people. The key projects include the construction of the Finskaya-120 station to increase gas supply to Atyrau.
The construction of the Taldykorgan-Usharal gas pipeline that will deliver gas to 124,000 people will be completed in 2025. The gas processing and liquefaction plants under construction in Kashagan will contribute to enhancing energy security.
Gas discounts up to 24% for socially vulnerable citizens were approved. The Social Wallet mechanism was piloted in West Kazakhstan Region and Shymkent. It will be used throughout the country soon.
