On January 17, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov reported to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov about the upcoming visit of the European Commissioner for International Partnerships to Ashgabat at the government meeting, Turkmenistan: Golden Age eNewspaper reported.
The Minister submitted several proposals for the promotion of political and economic cooperation with the EU: a regular meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Dialogue in Ashgabat in 2025 and the 20th EU-Central Asia Meeting of Foreign Ministers. Meredov submitted the proposal for the upcoming meeting of the Central Asian leaders, the President of the European Council and the President of the European Commission, which will be held in Samarkand in April this year.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov focused on the constructive interaction between Turkmenistan and the European Union. In this regard, the President approved the proposals submitted and instructed Rashid Meredov to continue working in this area.
