The Board of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of Tajikistan held the final meeting to discuss the work done in 2024. The government officials and heads of medical institutions and specialised departments from all the regions of the country participated in the event, Avesta reports.
Minister of Health Jamoliddin Abdullozoda reported on the work done by the Ministry, focusing on the major achievements of the year. In his message to the Parliament, President Emomali Rahmon ordered the main problems facing the industry, including the shortage of healthcare workers and the quality of health services, be solved by the 35th anniversary of independence.

In 2024, the Ministry ramped up international cooperation, signed 9 agreements with the international organisations and coordinated 23 work plans. The major events, including the International Health Investment Forum, were held. In 2025, Tajikistan will assume the chairmanship of the CIS Healthcare Cooperation Council.
