On January 10, Chairperson of Mejlis of Turkmenistan Dunyagozel Gulmanova informed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov about the legislative activities of the Parliament at the government meeting, Turkmenistan: Golden Age eNewspaper reported.
She reported on the work on the amendments to the Civil Code and the Law On the Unified State Register of Voters. Gulmanova noted that parliamentarians are working on amendments and additions to number of existing legislative acts related the activities of judicial bodies, the protection of the rights and freedoms of citizens.
Commenting on the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasised the importance of improving national laws to bring them in line with modern requirements.
