Minister of Health of Tajikistan Jamoliddin Abdullozoda reported on the growth in Tajikistan’s pharmaceutical industry during the meeting at the Ministry. Last year, the number of enterprises increased to 67, and they manufacture 351 names and 598 types of medicines, Sputnik reports.
In 2024, 27 types and 26 names of medicines and medical products expanded the product range of Tajikistan’s pharmaceutical industry.
Particular attention is paid to processing local medicinal herbs. Over 3,300 pharmaceutical enterprises currently operate in the Republic, and 257 licenses have been issued.
The Minister noted the expansion of the social protection system that employs 4,400 workers at 240 social protection departments, including 3,300 social workers. About one million people are covered by social protection.
