President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev presented a comprehensive action programme aimed at promoting cooperation with the EAEU that covers 6 major areas at the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, the press office of the President of Uzbekistan reported.
The programme envisages removing barriers to trade, joining the single customs system and promoting industrial cooperation.
Uzbekistan plans to join the Eurasian Development Bank early next year.
Particular attention is paid to digital integration through connecting to the EAEU database and joining the Digital Union Project. Uzbekistan proposes developing a programme of cooperation in the agricultural sector to facilitate access of agricultural products to markets and implement innovative projects. It is planned to allow nationals of the EAEU Member States to enter Uzbekistan with their national documents to increase tourist arrivals.
