On December 19, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov invited Prime Minister of Malaysia Dato Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim to visit Ashgabat. The head of government of the friendly country accepted the invitation with gratitude, Turkmenistan: Golden Age eNewspaper reported.
The parties agreed to coordinate the dates of the visit through diplomatic channels. The President of Turkmenistan and the Prime Minister of Malaysia emphasised the importance of the initiatives put forward by the two countries at the international and regional levels. They also highlighted the importance of the international forum marking the 300th birth anniversary of the poet Magtymguly Fraghi, which took place in Ashgabat on October 11, 2024, and Malaysia’s Chairmanship of ASEAN in 2025.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Dato Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim stressed that global issues must be resolved by peaceful means in full compliance with international law and the United Nations resolutions.
