On December 19, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who is on a two-day official visit to Malaysia, held talks with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, the IIC information portal reported.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov made an entry to the Guest Book at the Government House of Malaysia and had a photo taken against the backdrop of state flags. Initially the narrow-format talks took place. Then the government delegations of the two countries joined the meeting.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Anwar Ibrahim exchanged views on the prospects for cooperation in the trade, investment, oil and gas, transport, communications, education, cultural and tourism sectors. The two leaders discussed issues of international and regional politics of mutual interest.
Following the talks, the President of Turkmenistan and the Prime Minister of Malaysia signed a number of bilateral documents and held a press conference.
