On December 16, Kazakhstan celebrated Independence Day that symbolises the revival of statehood and the people’s desire for freedom, the press office of the President of Kazakhstan reports.
President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev emphasised the importance of unity and responsibility for the future of the country. He noted that independence is the groundwork of all achievements that must be guarded.
«Independence is our common priceless heritage, which underlies all our achievements. Independence is above all. It is the duty of every citizen to protect it like the apple of their eye,» Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev said.
Kazakhstan continues to move forward with confidence, rising its international authority thanks to the labour and unity of the people. The President expressed belief that the nation will overcome all challenges and reach new heights.
The Embassy of Russia congratulated Kazakhstan on Independence Day, noting the Republic’s accomplishments in the international arena and wishing the prosperity and well-being to Kazakhstan.
