A new grain terminal with a capacity of 1 million tonnes per year was put into operation in Kuryk.

“The Kazakh-German joint venture SKYHANSA LLP has launched the cargo and passenger airport project at the Khorgos hub,” Maksat Kaliakparov said.

The air cargo hub project envisages building a terminal, a fuel storage facility, and an aircraft maintenance centre. It is planned to modernise the Altynkol station to increase throughput.

The Industrial Trade and Logistics Complex on the border with Kyrgyzstan is to be modernised. It is planned to repair roads and build a railway at the Eurasia Cross-Border Trade Centre and the Central Asia International Industrial Cooperation Centre, which will significantly increase transport capacity.
