Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Roman Vasilenko met with Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Sejm of Poland Pawel Kowal, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan reported.
They discussed strengthening interparliamentary relations and expanding political and economic cooperation. Particular attention was given to cultural and educational aspects, including the growing number of students from Kazakhstan in Poland: over 3,000.
Vasilenko emphasised that Poland is a strategic partner of Kazakhstan in the European Union, noting the readiness for further cooperation in various areas. He highlighted the role of the 35,000-strong Polish diaspora in Kazakhstan, who actively contributes to promoting relations between the two countries.
«Roman Vasilenko wished the Polish side every success in the upcoming presidency of the Council of the European Union in the first half of 2025,» the press office added.
Pawel Kowal underscored the positive dynamics of bilateral relations and confirmed the willingness to deepen interparliamentary contacts.
