President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev held a meeting with Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Kazakhstan Zhang Xiao. According to the Akorda Telegram channel, the parties highlighted the importance of historical friendly and good-neighbourly relations between the two countries. The two states remain committed to strengthening cooperation based on mutual trust and respect.
«According to the head of state, relations between Kazakhstan and China can be called exemplary,» the press office of the President of Kazakhstan reported.
Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev noted that relations between Kazakhstan and China are developing dynamically. The active political dialogue is complemented by growing trade and economic ties, expanding cultural and educational exchanges and the implementation of science projects. The countries actively cooperate in the international arena within the UN, SCO, CICA and the Central Asia-China format.
The President noted Zhang Xiao’s contribution to strengthening bilateral relations and boosting strategic partnerships. The diplomat received the Dostyk Order, 2nd degree for his services.
